Kristine Angeline R. Buted

Ms. Kristine Angeline R. Buted is an Ilocana who received her law degree from San Sebastian College-Recoletos Manila in 2009. She was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2010.

As a law student, she was an active member of the Bantay Katarungan (Sentinel of Justice) and KilosBayan (People’s Action) Foundations headed by the former Senate President Jovito Salonga and former Solicitor General Florin Hilbay.

Prior to law school, Kristine graduated from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, with a degree in Political Science. She was Grand Lady Chancellor of her sorority, a member of the school’s Women’s Basketball Varsity, and officer for debate of UP Bannuar.

Kristine joined several law firms as an Associate Lawyer such as Era and Associates Law Office (EALO) and Cabochan Valera Tolentino De Vera and Torredes Law (CVTDR Law) in 2010, Paredes Law Group (PLG) in 2012, and Valera Burns Montero and Tria Law Offices (VBMT Law) in 2017. She handled various civil, criminal, labor, administrative and election cases before several courts and quasi-judicial tribunals in the country while serving as a consultant to several transportation companies. Kristine was also an Associate Professor at the University of Makati (UMAK) who taught obligations and contracts, labor, business and corporation law. She rejoined Paredes Law Group as a Partner in 2021.

Kristine enjoys long walks with her choco labradors “Mojito” and “Timothy Negroni” and aspins “Soju” and “Ron Buchi”, whom she (unwittingly) spoils. She joins marathons and hikings and hopes to do one with them very soon.
